Speaker Selection Process

ASTRA welcomes people from all disciplines and backgrounds to present topics in the areas of: children & play, industry trends & relations, business operations, financial management and sales & marketing. We want our presentations to engage the audience, spark discussion and inspire new ideas.

Selecting the best speakers for ASTRA’s annual Marketplace & Academy is a long and difficult process, as we receive many inspiring proposals from experts outside and thought leaders within the independent toy industry. When reviewing potential speakers and proposals, ASTRA and the education committee strive for a good mix of speakers, and we want to encourage everyone to submit a proposal.

After the submission deadline, ASTRA and the education committee review all proposals, and select the ones that we think will make the most interesting mix at the conference. We aim to have all speakers confirmed by November 29, 2019.
